Scientific and technical commission on standardization

Scientific and technical Commission on harmonization of the technical regulations of the parties to the Agreement.

Working group on designing of intergovernmental electronic systems for information exchange and development of normative documents in this field (WG on information technology)

From 19 to 21 of October 2004 the 28th meeting of the scientific and technical Commission on standardization was held on the basis of "Moldova-Standard" Department in Kishinev, as well as 7th meeting of scientific and technical Commission on harmonization of the technical regulations of the parties to the Agreement and 11th meeting of the Working Group on information technologies.

At the meetings members of the scientific and technical Commission on standardization, scientific and technical Commission on harmonization of the technical regulations of the parties to the Agreement, Working Group as well as other experts of Gosstandart of the Republic of Belarus, National Institute of standards and metrology of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, "Moldova-Standard" Department, Federal agency on technical regulation and metrology of the Russian Federation, Ukraine Gospotrebstandart and Bureau on standards of the Euro-Asian Council for standardization, metrology and certification (EASC) took part.

More than 40 issues were examined at the meetings.

The main issues were being examined at the meetings of the scientific and technical Commission on standardization, scientific and technical Commission on harmonization of the technical regulations of the parties to the Agreement, Working Group on information technologies are as follows:

• to fulfill the 25th Euro-Asian Council for standardization, metrology and certification (EASC) decisions and previous scientific and technical Commission on standardization, scientific and technical Commission on harmonization of the technical regulations of the parties to the Agreement, Working Group on information technologies meetings' recommendations;
• to supplement the Program of the intergovernmental standardization for 2004-2006 with the proposals of Ukraine Gospotrebstandart as well as specify based on the Gosstandart of the Republic of Belarus and other national bodies proposals of the intergovernmental program of activities on harmonization of the intergovernmental standards with the international and European standards for 2004-2006 as well as specify Intergovernmental program on standardization of the technique being supplied for the agricultural complex for the 2005;
• to escape the frictions on the projects of the intergovernmental standards and to co-ordinate the list of projects of the intergovernmental normative documents being introduced for the adoption at the Meeting of the heads of the national bodies (26th meeting of Euro-Asian Council for standardization, metrology and certification);
• degree of co-ordination of the project of the Agreement on the fundamentals of the technical regulations harmonization of the CIS member-states during the re-examination by the Governments of the CIS member-states as well as degree of the working out of the project of the intergovernmental normative document, regulating the procedure of working out of the intergovernmental technical regulations models;
• to exchange with the intergovernmental normative documents in electronic format;
• to establish of the bibliographical databases and electronic catalogue of the intergovernmental standards including their names in English.

The participants of the 7th scientific and technical Commission on harmonization of the technical regulations of the parties to the Agreement meeting showed their concern for reduplication of works on the technical regulation in CIS, European Economic Environment and Euro Asian Economic Community.

On all the issues concerned agreed decisions have been adopted. More detailed information is available at the appropriate protocols.
